"Beautiful Stone Barn Family Accommodation"
Our Gite La Grange Mirabelle is situated in the beautiful village of La Chapelle Aubareil. There is a village shop just across the square, and a good Auberge restaurant a short stroll away, alternatively within a short drive are the historic towns of Montignac or Sarlat.
The property is stone built and fitted out to a high standard, featuring an open plan oak staircase built by a local craftsman, and direct access to the large salt water swimming pool, shared with owners, in the garden.
Ground Floor - A spacious, light, open plan room encompassing an area for dining, a comfortable lounge area, with two large leather sofa’s, satellite TV (available in English, French, Spanish and German), DVD, a Playstation 2 with a selection of games, and a range of books which you are welcome to borrow for that quiet relax time around the pool. There is a fully fitted Kitchen including a range of floor and wall cupboards, full size cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, and microwave, plus the usual electrical appliances for your convenience. The whole of this room is spacious and light, having double oak doors opening on to both the front and side terraces.
First Floor - The landing runs the full length of the house, leading to 3 double bedrooms and the family bathroom. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, large chest of drawers, bedside tables and wardrobe, with a door leading to the en-suite shower room. There are two further twin bedded rooms, both with a double wardrobe and chest of drawers. There are also some storage boxes for those extra things if needed. In the family bathroom there is a white suite comprising of WC, wash basin, and bath with shower over.
The gardens - There are two terraces, one to the front of the building, which is a lovely place to sit in the morning sun, and watch village life go by. It is very quiet and peaceful here. The second terrace being to the side, a large decked area, with table and seating (for 6). There is a private garden for guests use. There is direct access to the 10m x 5m heated salt water pool from the garden. This is a lovely pool, with a roman shaped end, surrounded by a terrace, with sun loungers and umbrellas, and because it is salt water there are no stinging eyes or skin irritation, making it just the place to cool off when hot. The pool is fenced, but has a pool alarm for your added security/safety. The swimming pool is available for your use everyday of your stay and will be heated from the 1st Saturday in May until the last Saturday in September.
